Breaking and Entering

Dear Family and Friends,
So this week was full of adventures.  on Tuesday Sister Fuggle had MCL, for leaders and so I was in a three some and that sucks but it was fine.  When she got back we had to go to the apartment again because we had to go to the bathroom.  well.. .... we got to the apartment and realized that we didn't have the keys.....GREAT! so we ended up going through one of the apartments next to us because I knew I left the back door unlocked but it is one of those that has a latch.  anyways we finally got there and we had to stick our fingers through the little hole to try and get the latch off and it was hard. finally I got to get my hand through the screen and tried to get the latch off with a hangar.  we were desperate.   finally Sister Fuggle got it off and we got in the door.  then we realized that the door to the house was locked and then I remembered there were keys on the side to unlock the lock on the first door that should have been locked.  are you following?  it unlocked the door and we got in.  as we were getting ready to leave I realized the gate outside was locked from the outside. NOOOOOO! man we just could not catch a break.  so we hoped the fence.  man it was so fun and so funny after it was over.
so now to the investigators.  we have these investigators in Camachile where the ocean is and they are awesome.  it is a bunch of men. one, Eric, who doesn't have a wife is super great and nice, another, Lino, whose wife is born again but they are super sweet and he wants to know the truth, he actually came to church on Sunday even though he was at the hospital all night because his brother had a stroke.  AMAZNG!! then his son Marc who is so funny.  He is a punk but he is super interested and reads the stuff we give him.  anyways, they were suppose to come to church yesterday but only Lino came so we went back to them yesterday to figure out why.  the first thing Eric said was that he had sinned to us which sounds a lot better in tagalog but he said that he had a friend come in from abroad (whom we had actually taught the day before) and they had been drinking last night until 3 am.  He set his alarm to get up because they had promised to come to church but you know how well that goes when your hung over.  yea they didn't wake up until 12.  then THEY STARTED DRINKING AGAIN!! yea we were talking to them and they were totally drunk.  We were not going to share in that but Sister Fuggle pulled a great seriously sad face I was laughing so hard because they were buying us food and Eric was singing us a song on his guitar and it was all a huge joke.  Marc was so shy but he listened and laughed too.  we ended up leaving a word of wisdom pamphlet for them to read and the rest of the night they were texting us and apologizing.  goodness so funny!!
Yesterday we were punted so hard! literally all of day was punted because we had so many people to go to that by 9 we had actually run out of people which was impressive.  We taught 4 lessons and only 1 was to an investigator because most of the people we wanted to teach were either drinking or not home.  Also when we had exchanges me and Sister Garrett had 2 drunk guys try to get us to go to their house and talk to them.  Yea that was not going to happen.  We laughed after because it was twice in one day.
One of our investigators Kathy, had an amazing experience. She said that as she passed our church she felt the spirit so strong tell her that is was a place of safety and then she said that on Sunday when she was getting ready to go to her church she just felt lazy and didn't want to do anything and then thought that she really wanted to go to our church.  SHE NEVER CAME!! but the spirit is working and it is just slow progress, she does still have her agency so we will keep working on her.
On Sunday two of our recent converts got the priesthood and as I watch them receive it through the door I felt the spirit so strong and it testified to me that the priesthood is something that is so sacred and important to us as members of the church. There is not greater gift than the power of god and I know that it is more important to be worthy of it.  He loves us so much to trust him with his power.
Other than that things are going great.  I am learning the importance of making a goal and working your hardest to achieve it so that the lord can be there to help.  He is always there and one thing I challenge all of you to read Moroni 10 about the spiritual gifts and then pray and read to try and figure out what your spiritual gifts are.  The lord works through our spiritual gifts to help us accomplish our goals.  I know that we all have some and I know we all need to grow them.  I love you all and I am so grateful for your support and I hope in some way you can all see the lord hand in your life.  I know he loves you because I know he loves me.  Take care and I will talk to you all next week,
Sister Snow
