Air Conditioning and struggles of investigators

Dear Family and Friends,

Well not much has happened this week sorry.  One neat thing is that I am being spoiled here in pillar.  WE HAVE AIRCON IN OUR ROOM! that has so nice and I love it.  I sleep so much better and it nice not to be sweating all the time.  

 Another neat experience we had was the opportunity to go on splits but guess what..........two brand new missionaries that are both Americans. Me and Sister Taylor went on splits to her area.  Well I am proud to say we made it through the day.  Sister
Taylor has been trained by two STL and she is very magaling -talented. We think she and sister Gonzales will be transferred this next transfer and me and sister Palmer will stay here in Pillar.   She is ok with it and really feels like she has done all that she can here and it's time for a new place.  

We got to watch the relief society broadcast and at first it was in tagalog and I about cried because I was so excited to listen to it but then they got it figured out and we got to watch the last half in English.  YES!  it was really good and it seems like they are focusing a lot on women and the atonement.  I am excited to watch the general conference this week so there is only a week delay but I know that it will make me homesick so I will keep praying that I will get through it and take it for what it is.  

tapos-then, we had a surprise this Sunday and had president Querido attend our sacrament meeting.  Well that was nerve racking and to top it all off I had to play the piano.  I love to do that when not everyone is singing but I did ok with the hymns simplified.  

Other than that it has been just a normal week.  Edgardo is doing well he is understanding and wants to be baptized now if we could just get him to come to church.  A common problem that we have had this last week is Word of Wisdom.  But, I am happy to say that one of our investigators who drank and smokes is working really hard to quit and in one week he is not drinking any more alcohol and only has a cigarette occasionally.  Amazing talaga!!  I am always happy when people are trying because I am not perfect either so I can't expect perfection immediately.  Well other than that not much.  I am working on ideas of how to improve the area when I get a new companion and how to improve myself to fulfill gods will for Pillar. sorry it is so short but I want to thank you all for your support it truly means the world to me.

I know that this is the foundation for the rest of my life.  I need to overcome my weaknesses and this is the way the lord has provided for me.  i am being prepared for challenges, I am being prepared for marriage and I am being prepared for the second coming.  so thank you for being the highlight of my week and the reason I get up every morning and get stuff done so I can have a little daddy daughter time some butterfly kisses. love you dad,
